Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 whole chicken divided into four

1 cup all purpose flour

½ cup corn flour

1 cup of milk

3 Eggs

1 tablespoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon ground paprika

1 tablespoon ground chili flakes

1 tablespoon ground garlic

1 tablespoon ground nutmeg

½ cup lemon juice

Salt

Oil for deep frying

 

Method

1.    Place the chicken in a bowl and add in the lemon juice.

2.    If the chicken is too tough, boil for a few minutes instead of using the lemon.

3.    In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and add in the milk and whisk the mixture, then set aside.

4.    In a separate bowl, sieve in the all purpose flour and corn flour, add in the black pepper, paprika, chili flakes, nutmeg, salt and the garlic and set aside.

5.    Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

6.    Take a piece of chicken and dip it in the bowl of whisked eggs and milk. Coat thoroughly

7.    Remove from the eggs mixture and coat in the flour mixture. You need a slightly thick layer of flour so if the coating is too thin, repeat the procedure.

8.    Place the coated chicken into the hot oil and deep fry to a light brown color.

9.    Remove and drain the excess oil.

10. Repeat this procedure with the remaining pieces of chicken.

11. Serve your fried chicken as desired.
