Recipe for Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients

½ cup all purpose flour

½ cup of breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/8 cup of milk

½ kg chicken breast/boneless chicken cut into 1 or 1½ inch pieces

 Oil for deep frying    

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika  

3 teaspoons black pepper

½ cup lemon juice

Salt

 

Method

1.      Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and pour in the lemon juice, coating every piece thoroughly. Allow the juice to soak in for a few minutes.

2.      Place flour in a bowl and add in the garlic,1 teaspoon of black pepper and a half a teaspoon of paprika

3.      Whisk the eggs and milk together

4.      Place the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl and add in a teaspoon of black pepper and the remaining paprika

5.      Take one piece of chicken from the bowl and dip in the flour, turning it around to coat thoroughly.

6.      Remove from the flour and dip in the whisked egg mixture

7.      Remove from the egg and gently press into the breadcrumbs, turn around to coat thoroughly and set aside on a clean tray. Repeat this procedure with the remaining pieces .  

8.      Heat oil in a deep frying pan

9.      Place in a few nuggets in the oil and fry until golden brown

10.  Drain the excess oil and sprinkle a little salt and paprika (optional)

11.  Serve with dipping sauce
