Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
2 medium sized potatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of chopped coriander leaves
1 cup of water
Oil
Method
1. Boil the potatoes, drain and mash them.
2. Place the mashed potatoes in a clean bowl and add in the wheat flour.
3. Add the turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt.
4. Knead the mixture and add in a tablespoon of water at a time until your form a soft dough
5. Sprinkle a tablespoon of oil on the dough and cover.
6. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
7. Form balls and place in a tray.
8. Roll out the balls to form circles of roughly ½ thickness
9. Heat oil in a deep frying pan
10. Deep fry the poori dough and flip when the underside begins to turn brownish in color
11. Cook the top side until it turns brownish in color
12. Remove and drain.
13. Serve the potato poori as desired .
