Recipe for Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour

2 eggs

½ teaspoon vanilla essence

½ teaspoon salt

2/3 cup sugar

½ teaspoon baking powder

A pinch of bicarbonate of Soda

2/3 cup margarine/butter

 

 

Method

1.    Sieve the dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl and set aside.

2.    Combine the sugar and margarine in a separate bowl and whisk until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

3.    Add in the vanilla essence and eggs and continue whisking until you achieve an even mix.

4.    Fold in the flour and knead the mixture to form dough.

5.    Roll out the dough and cut into round shapes and freeze for 30 minutes.

6.    Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees Celcius for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges turn to a brown color.
