Recipe for Kebabs

Ingredients

½ kg minced meat

1 large onion diced

1 tablespoon crushed ginger

1 tablespoon crushed garlic

½ tablespoon curry powder

1 cup of breadcrumbs

1 cup of all purpose flour

15 eggs

1 teaspoon dhana jeera

2 ½ cups of oil

 

 Method

1.    In a pan, add in two tablespoons of oil and add in the minced meat, cook until it turns brown in color. Set aside.

2.    In another pan, fry the onions until translucent in color, add in the crushed ginger and garlic and stir. Add in the curry powder, salt and dhana jeera and mix thoroughly.

3.    Add in your minced meat and mix well, turn off the heat and allow the meat to cool.

4.    Add in one beaten egg, breadcrumbs and ¼ cup of flour and mix thoroughly.

5.    Beat the remaining eggs in a separate bowl and add in a little salt and set aside.

6.    In another bowl, pour in the remaining flour and set aside.

7.    Knead the minced meat mixture gently and then form thick sausage like strips of about 10 cm long.

8.    Coat each strip with flour by dipping it into the bowl with flour, and then coat it with the egg by dipping into the bowl with egg.  Repeat this process with the rest of the strips.

9.    Deep fry in hot oil and if the coating has not thickened to your liking, repeat the coating process and deep fry again.

10. Serve the kebab with your favorite accompaniment .
