How  to  Fuliza

Fuliza is a loan facility that allows M-pesa users to complete transactions even when they lack funds in their M-pesa accounts. It is basically an overdraft product offered by Safaricom and the Commercial bank of Africa.

The main objective behind launching Fuliza was to enable Safariocm users to complete their transactions when they have insufficient funds. This was intended for services like Buy Goods, send money , Pay bill and Lipa Na M-Pesa. This explains why one cannot withdraw Fuliza funds directly from their phones. However, as soon as this product hit the market and became famous among Kenyans, it was quickly labeled as  Fuliza loan by its users.

Steps on How to Fuliza

The question on the mind of many Kenyans is how to Fuliza.  It is an easy four step process as explained below

Ø        Dial *234# on your phone

Ø        From the list of options, select 0:  is code for Fuliza M-Pesa, then press send

Ø        Select 1, from the list of options then press send

Ø       Select the first option again, to accept terms and conditions. Congratulations, you can now access Fuliza service.

Perform a normal Mpesa transaction provided it is within the limit of your Fuliza limit. With every transaction, you will receive a text notification with your outstanding Fuliza amount used. If this is less than your Fuliza limit, you can perform as many transaction as you can until your Fuliza funds are depleted. This can be done despite having an outstanding Fuliza balance.

The only way to withdraw Fuliza funds us send the money to a friend and have them withdraw the balance for you. Mpesa charges apply.
