This recipe is for Vanilla ice-cream

Ingredients

1 ½ cup white sugar

4 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups heavy whipping cream

4 ½ cups of milk

Method

1.      Heat a sauce pan under low heat and add in the milk, whipped cream and sugar.

2.      Stir the mixture ensuring all the sugar has dissolved or until it foams at the edges.

3.      Remove from heat and place in a jar and add in the vanilla extract and cover.

4.     Leave the mixture to cool for at least 12 hours as this allows the vanilla to blend in thoroughly.

5.      Transfer the mixture into an ice-cream maker and churn for 25 minutes.

6.     Transfer the ice cream to a jar and cover with a plastic wrap and freeze for a few hours.

7.     Alternatively, if you prefer softly frozen ice-cream, you may serve it immediately after removing from the machine.
