Recipe for Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

250g of dark chocolate

6 eggs

1 cup heavy whipping cream

20g butter (unsalted).

70 g white sugar

 

Method

1.    Separate the yolks and egg whites into two separate bowls. Whisk the egg yolks and set aside.

2.    Combine the egg whites with sugar and beat until firm.

3.    In a bowl/pan, combine the chocolate, butter and melt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and runny then set aside and allow it to cool.

4.    In another large bowl, beat the cream until firm and set aside.

5.    Fold in the whisked yolks into the cream, add in the lukewarm chocolate mixture and fold until evenly mixed.

6.    Fold in the egg whites, for better results, add in a little of the egg white into the mixture and fold in until fully incorporated then transfer this mixture to the bowl with the remaining egg whites and fold in gently. Ensure to get rid of the lumps.

7.    Your chocolate mousse is ready, for better results, refrigerate overnight or for at least four hours.  

8.    Garnish the chocolate Mousse as desired and serve.
