Recipe for Salty Crackers

Do you love crackers? These recipe guides you through easy steps for making delicious light and crispy crackers.  These salt crackers are the perfect snacks that can be consumed any time.  When baked just right, they jcan be served topped with cheese, jam or any favorite topping.

Ingredients

1½ cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon of salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ cup of water

1 teaspoon of sugar

 

Method

1.    Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit

2.    In a medium sized bowl, sieve the dry ingredients : sugar, salt and flour and whisk

3.    Pour in the oil and water and stir

4.    When the dough is soft and sticky, remove from bowl and place it on a floored surface.

5.    Divide the dough into two and roll out each piece to approximately 1/8 inch thickness.

6.    Divide into desirable shape, preferably circle or rectangle.

7.    Place the crackers on an ungreased baking sheet (1 inch apart).

8.    Prick each cracker with a fork, brush the surface lightly with oil and sprinkle salt.

9.    Bake for at least 10 minutes or until the bottom turns brownish in color.

10. Remove and allow to cool

11. Serve as desired
