Recipe for Mutton Stew

Ingredients for Mutton Stew

½ kg mutton, cleaned and cut into pieces

1 large onion

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon regular cooking oil

1 tablespoon ginger –garlic paste

½ cup fresh cream

½ teaspoon cumin powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

½ teaspoons cloves powder

½ teaspoon turmeric powder

2 tablespoons peanut sauce

1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

Salt

Method

1. Place a skillet on high heat and add the butter and cooking oil.

2. Add onions, ginger and garlic paste and fry until golden brown.

3. Add in the cumin, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and turmeric powder and cook to a thick gravy.

4. When the gravy is slightly sticking to the bottom of the pan, add in the mutton, mix thoroughly and add in salt transfer the contents to a cooking pot.

5. Add more water and boil the mutton for two hours under high heat.

6. After two hours are over, add in the peanut sauce, cream and chopped coriander leaves, boil for five minutes and remove and serve as desired!
