Recipe for Pudding

Ingredients

1 ½ tablespoons of cornstarch

A pinch of salt

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ tablespoon unsalted butter

1 large egg yolk

1 1/8 cups of whole milk

1/6 cup sugar

Method

1. Place a saucepan over medium heat

2. In a bowl whisk together the milk, sugar, egg yolks and salt and add in the saucepan

3. Continue whisking under the low heat until bubbles appears throughout the mixture. (Usually between 7-10 minutes).

4. Cook for a few more minutes, whisking gently to avoid breaking the mixture. When the pudding has thickened but pourable, turn off the heat.

5. Whisk in the butter and vanilla extract.

6. Transfer the pudding into bowls and allow to cool. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

7. Serve your pudding as desired.
