Simple Bread Recipe

Ingredients

600 grams of all purpose flour

1 tablespoon of dried yeast

1 teaspoon of salt

1 tablespoon of sugar

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

1 glass of water

1¼ glasses of evaporated milk

1 egg

2 tablespoons of pumpkin/sesame seeds

Method

1. Preheat oven to 392 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Combine the warm water and milk in a bowl, add in the yeast and whisk. Use only one glass of milk.

3. Add sugar to the mixture and whisk for a few minutes.

4. Add in the oil and whisk again.

5. Add in the salt and whisk for a few more minutes.

6. Add in little amounts of the flour as you continue to whisk gently, after the consistency has thickened, add in all the flour and knead using your hands.

7. Coat a bowl with oil and place in your dough, cover and allow to rest for 45 minutes – 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

8. Press the dough in the middle and knead for a few more minutes to remove excess air.

9. Divide the dough into two, or you can leave it as a whole depending on the size of your baking pan.

10.Use your hands to fold/roll in the dough into desirable shape, tuck in the seam and place the dough in your baking pan with the seam side down.

11.Cover the pan and allow the dough to proof for 15 minutes.

12.Meanwhile, whisk together the egg and milk and use a brush to coat the proofed dough.

13.Sprinkle your seed of choice

14.Bake for 25 minutes

15.Place in a rack and let it cool for an hour

16.Enjoy your bread!
