Yoghurt Trifle Recipe

Yoghurt Trifle

½ cup yoghurt plain yoghurt

½ cup heavy whipping cream

1 tablespoon icing sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla

2 cups assorted fruits (Avocado, Apples, strawberries, bananas, almonds and raisins)

4 ginger nut biscuits

 

Method

1.      Pour the whipping cream into a bowl and whisk for two minutes

2.      Add in the vanilla essence and icing sugar and whisk again

3.      Add in the yoghurt and whisk at a high speed for a minute or two

4.      Wash, peel and cube the avocado and banana and place each fruit in a separate bowl

5.      Wash and cut the apples and set aside

6.      Crush the almonds and set aside

7.      Take three glass pitchers, in each pitcher, make your first layer of the trifle by adding the assorted fruits. Make sure you balance the assortment.

8.      Add in two dollops of the whipped yoghurt mixture as your second layer

9.      Add a third layer of the assorted fruits

10.  Add two or more dollops of the yoghurt mixture to fill the remaining part of the glass

11.  Crush the biscuits and add as the final layer to each glass ‘

12.  Enjoy your decadent trifle!
